The scope for organising Events can be broad and can be totally bespoke. Events can be held in Australia, or internationally.

We can custom-design an event to suit your needs – we will need to know your requirements before we can properly quote for your intended event.

There’s not much we can not accommodate, given flexibility for timing, your choice of location, weather and availability of your choice of chefs.

For each Vessel based event, we provide a ‘hands on’ instruction on how you catch fish using Iki-jime methodologies,  instruction on truly ethical and sustainable fishing practices – then, after the catching, we can provide breakdown/sashimi/sushi/cooking Masterclasses (either with your own chef or a (celebrity) chef which we can arrange (subject to availability).

The most regularly requested events are –

  1. ‘VIP Catch and Dine Event’ – Luxury vessel [up to max 40 pax], Celebrity Chef prepares the meal [you choose, … but we may need 3 or 4 options for your Chef choice due to their availability].

Mark shows you how to catch the fish “iki-jime”, you catch the fish and subsequently you can either dine on-board, or upon return at a signature restaurant in the vicinity of the landing point [usually in a private room]. In some locations, we can actually land onto a quiet beach or remote Island to dine on – utilising our catch from the day.

Our most popular Event is for an ‘in house’ Restaurant promo … including the Exec Chef, selected staff and a number of the Restaurant’s regular VIP ‘foodie’ clients.

  1. ‘Promotional Fishing Outing’ – numbers can vary from 1 to 40 pax, and the day is essentially a fun fishing outing (Mark provides instruction on fishing techniques). Or for the purists, we can organise a trip to the remotest parts of Australia to specifically target a particular species of premium seafood.

  1. ‘VIP Sustainable & Ethical Fishing Masterclass / Seafood Dining Event’ – Usually at the chosen Celebrity Chef’s Restaurant / Function Room area [up to the max pax of the selected location], … typically a several course degustation dinner and between courses – Mark can deliver a speaking presentation as to truly ethical and sustainable fishing practices – including visual components from GoPro cameras – to graphically depict what should not be going on in our Oceans … including here in Australia. We have conducted such events for 10 to 300 pax over the past 20 years – and can organise suitable private rooms … as / when and where required.

There are numerous locations around Australia [and a few Internationally, also] where we can organise the above events to take place for you.We have a long and extremely successful relationship with Shannon Bennett and his ‘Vue Events’ team – so they are obviously our preferred option, should you require facilitation of the associated dining options. [Obviously, this is not normally necessary with an ‘in-house’ Restaurant promotional event].

    Please let us know [via email here Contact] an outline of exactly what it is that you would like us to put together for you, including the ideal location, numbers, timing and your anticipated budget limits [as the vessels, sites, infrastructure, personnel can obviously vary dramatically in cost] … so a great starting point is to know what budgeting parameters apply to the event. Please note that we are typically booked up to 3 months in advance.
